The 2025 season of cricket had a fun twist when Pokémon partnered with the Gujarat Titans, a popular IPL team. Pikachu, the famous Pokémon character, visited training sessions, stadiums and young fans in Gujarat.
Pokémon also worked with the Junior Titans program, a Gujarat Titans initiative to get kids under 14 involved in fitness and sports. The program was held in 5 cities in Gujarat and Pikachu made a surprise visit to the Ahmedabad center.
Pikachu led the kids in a warm up using Radio Taiso, a popular Japanese exercise.
During the IPL 2025 season, a Pokémon booth was set up at the Narendra Modi Stadium for all 7 of the Gujarat Titans’ home games. Over 42,000 fans visited the booth which had bright Pokémon art.

On most game days, fans could meet Pikachu in a Gujarat Titans jersey, take pictures and get free Pikachu stickers. Some Junior Titans program kids were invited to meet Pikachu at the stadium.
The Gujarat Titans, led by young captain Shubman Gill had a decent IPL 2025 season, finished 4th and made it to the playoffs. Sai Sudharsan was the star, scored 759 runs in 15 games.

Though GT’s batting was good, their bowling struggled towards the end of the season, giving away over 225 runs in 3 consecutive games. In the Eliminator, they lost to Mumbai Indians by 20 runs after dropped catches and failing to chase 229
