Being a wicketkeeper in Test cricket is tough. It requires quick reflexes, focus and stamina to play long matches. For Bangladesh which has made a name for itself in Test cricket over the last 20 years, wicketkeepers have been the backbone of the team. 1. Litton Das – 114 Dismissals

Litton Das became Bangladesh’s leading wicketkeeper by breaking Mushfiqur Rahim’s record of 113 dismissals in a Test against Sri Lanka in June 2025. He achieved this in just 65 innings, 99 catches and 15 stumpings. He started his career as a keeper in 2015 and has been the national wicketkeeper in 39 out of the 50 matches he’s played, has an average of 36.68 as a keeper which is better than his 27 as a regular fielder.

2. Mushfiqur Rahim – 113 dismissals

Mushfiqur Rahim is one of the most experienced players in Bangladesh’s cricket history. He has 113 dismissals in Test matches, 98 catches and 15 stumpings in 99 innings in 55 Tests. He holds the record of five catches in a single innings as a Bangladeshi wicketkeeper. He is also the team’s highest run-scorer from the wicketkeeping position with over 3500 runs at an average of 37.3.

3. Khaled Mashud – 87 dismissals

Khaled Mashud was Bangladesh’s first-ever Test wicketkeeper, made his debut in November 2000 against India. He played 44 Tests until 2007, kept wickets in every match and had 87 dismissals, 78 catches and 9 stumpings. He had an average of 1.426 dismissals per innings in 61 innings.

4. Nurul Hasan – 34 dismissals

Nurul Hasan has been the wicketkeeper-batter for Bangladesh in 10 out of 11 Tests from 2017 to 2023, has 34 dismissals, 25 catches and 9 stumpings. He has the best catches-stumpings ratio among all Bangladeshi keepers in history and has an average of 1.888 dismissals per innings, the highest for those with more than 10 dismissals.

5. Jaker Ali – 9 dismissals

Jaker Ali was Bangladesh’s wicketkeeper in Tests for a short period in 2024 and 2025. In four innings he had 9 dismissals, 8 catches and 1 stumping. He caught 4 in a single innings against Zimbabwe in April 2025 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. He finished that two-match Test series with 8 catches.
