Mahedi Hasan took a personal best in T20I bowling for Bangladesh against Sri Lanka. He achieved this in the series deciding match in Colombo.
Sri Lanka chose to bat first after winning the toss. Bangladesh got Kusal Mendis out for 6 runs. Litton Das’s decision to bring Mahedi Hasan into the attack early paid off as he bowled well against the home team.
Kusal Perera was out for a golden duck, Dinesh Chandimal and Charith Asalanka were two of Mahedi’s key wickets in the game. Getting Pathum Nissanka out was a smart move by Mahedi, putting Sri Lanka under pressure.
He finished with 4/11, a record for Bangladesh against Sri Lanka in T20I.
