Amit Mishra, the former leg-spinner, doesn’t consider Pakistan to be a great threat for India in the Asia Cup final. He doesn’t see an upset on the lines of what happened in the 2017 Champions Trophy final as he says there is a big difference in skills between the two sides. India has been playing well in the Asia Cup, and they would be looking at sealing the title for the third consecutive time against Pakistan.
While Pakistan in 2017 had won the hit that most remember yet, Mishra does not see that happening now. He thinks that Pakistan must improve a lot to be able to challenge India in T20s. He talked about the difference between the two sides but also mentioned that India has to do well in catching because doing poorly in the final could prove costly.
Concurring with the said view of Mishra, Pakistan is great in words, but it does not translate into cricket skills.Contrary to that, Mishra admires Abhishek Sharma, who has been doing well for India. His very aggressive approach has taken good starts into big and match-winning scores. Mishra says this is a good omen for India. What he likes is that it looks like Sharma is converting starts into big scores by batting for a longer time.

Mishra doesn’t regard India’s middle order as a huge concern because, for him, it is yet to be truly tested. He refers to those experiments in which Sanju Samson batted at number three against Oman and Shivam Dube took that role against Bangladesh to underline his argument. He feels the strength of a team lies in that it does not depend much on any one player. India has been trying to test the middle order batsmen. Hardik Pandya has performed well. India has taken opportunities to give its middle-order batsmen some time in the field. Dube is also bowling, so he is ready when required.
