Debuted during India Vs Srilanka series at Wankhede on January 3, 2023.
He Captained Indian side during 5 match series between Zimbabwe and India last year in absence of senior players and won the series with 4-1.
Shubman Gill ODIs Captaincy
Debuted during New Zealand Vs India series at Hamilton on January 31,2019.
He has beed made Vice captain in ODIs during Champions Trophy 2025. But till now he has not been announced as captain of Indian team as Rohit Sharma is present as the Captain of Indian ODI side.
Shubman Gill Test Captaincy
Shubman Gill debuted in Test team during Australia Vs India BGT series in Melbourne on December 26-29 2020.
He recently had been appointed as the 37th Captain of Indian test team as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli took unexpected retirement from the most valuable and toughest format.
He started his test captaincy career with almost a young team as Rishabh Pant as his Vice Captain in Anderson – Tendulkar Trophy.

Shubman Gill IPL Captaincy
After winning 1st IPL trophy in his 1st season with Gujrat Titans with Hardik Pandya as the Captain in 2022.
He took GT’s Captaincy post after Hardik moved to Mumbai Indians. Since then, Shubman shown his leadership as well as batting capabilities with a mixed performance as a captain in IPL, unfortunately not winning the title till now. He played total 27 matches with 14 wins and 13 losses.
