RCB Pacer Rasikh Salam Joins Baroda for 2025/26 Domestic Season After Leaving J&K

Rasikh Salam Joins Baroda

Rasikh Salam, the RCB fast bowler, is set to switch from Jammu & Kashmir to Baroda for the 2025/26 Indian domestic cricket season. Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has given him a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the same.

Rasikh, 24, has been doing well over the last few seasons. In first-class cricket he has 13 wickets in 5 matches at 25.23. He has 13 wickets in 10 List A games and 45 wickets in 36 T20s. He was part of the RCB team that won the IPL 2025 and played 2 games that season.

According to IANS, Brigadier Anil Gupta, JKCA Member Administration, confirmed that the NOC was given to Rasikh Salam to switch teams for the upcoming domestic season.

“Yes, we gave him the NOC. I don’t remember the exact date but I think it was 5-6 days ago. If he wants to play somewhere else it doesn’t affect us. We have given NOCs to 6 players this time. We have plenty of talent and a good pool of players,” Gupta said.

The report states that Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) sources have confirmed that Rasikh has joined their team for the domestic season. They are also close to signing Jitesh Sharma, the wicketkeeper-batter, who is waiting for his NOC from Vidarbha.

IANS reports that Rasikh Salam’s move might be because of Krunal Pandya, the Baroda captain and his RCB teammate.

The source said, “It’s highly believed that Krunal helped Rasikh join Baroda since they played together for RCB in the IPL this year. He wants to win a trophy in the next domestic season and is committed to building a team to achieve that.”

Krunal, who has played 5 ODIs and 19 T20Is for India, is still a key player in Baroda’s domestic set up.
