Once again, the Indian Cricket team going through the transition as the legends like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin leaving the most valuable oldest format of cricket, the Test Cricket One by one.
They made Indian Test team as unbeatable for more than a decade whether in home condition or in SENA countries tour. We had seen Captain Virat Kohli as one the finest batsman in a test cricket and also one of the most successful Indian test captains. He took the Indian test team to Australia in BGT 2018-19 and became the first Indian Captain to win a test series against Australia at their home.
The Virat – Ashwin duo was the main reason as the Indian TEST team looked unbeatable for more than a decade as Virat Kohli is highest run getter and Ashwin is took most no. wickets in this period.
But now in 2025, when the gen gold is almost at an edge of their carrier in international carrier and handing over the team to the youngsters to take their legacy forward, the ICT is under a major transition period.

BCCI arranged a press meet ahead of the series in which coach Gautam Gambhir and new Captain Shubman Gill addressed media and talked a bit about their approach and mind-set without legends like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravichandran Ashwin.
They said that it’s not easy to fill their places as they were legends in the game but the new generation players are all set to make their own places by showing their passion and skill during this tour.
All we can say that is, it’s not only the end of an era, but also the beginning of a new one. We have to back our team and believe them.
